Jonathan Kastellec is a professor in the Department of Politics at Princeton University. His research and teaching interests are in American political institutions, with a particular focus on judicial politics and the politics of Supreme Court nominations and confirmations. His research has been published in the American Political Science Review, American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Politics, the Journal of Law, Economics & Organization, the Journal of Empirical Legal Studies, and Political Research Quarterly. He is the author (with Charles Cameron) of Making the Supreme Court: The Politics of Appointments, 1930-2020).
Anthony Taboni will be a post-doctoral research fellow in the Department of Government at the University of Texas at Austin before joining as an Assistant Professor in 2026-27. He studies American political institutions with a focus on judicial politics. He received his PhD from the Department of Politics at Princeton University in 2025 and a B.A. in Mathematics and Political Science from the University at Buffalo in 2019.
